In 2024, the BTF IM prioritized work on the topic of corporate dentistry. As such, the BTF developed two specific documents: 1) a document offering advice and supporting national dental associations in relation to raising awareness and educating students and young dentists about the possible ways of exercising the profession and 2) a document (political statement) on corporate dentistry and its various aspects to be taken into consideration.
Both texts were successfully adopted at the November 2024 General Meeting.
The BTF also continued engaging on workforce challenges, as well as on specific issues such as the Proportionality Test Directive and partial access.
In 2025, work related to workforce challenges from the perspective of dentistry will continue to be a priority for the BTF IM. We will continue relying on input from national members, as we develop the necessary policy documents in the field of internal market.
In 2024, the CED focused on developing preparatory work for re-launching of the CED newsletter in the course of 2025. We also published the 2023 CED Annual Report.
